The team at Holvik Family Health Center are honored to care for your newborn infant, and they will continue to serve as the primary care provider for wellness exams and sick visits through high school.
Bring all your children into the Holvik Family Health Center where you can count on them getting compassionate care for all their health care needs, including:
Every child should be immunized against polio, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella before they enter kindergarten. That may sound like a lot of immunizations, but Dr. Holvik administers them on a regular schedule, so your child has all the shots by the time they’re ready to start school.
The HPV vaccine protects men and women from cancers caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV), but only when it’s administered before they’re infected with the virus. For this reason, Dr. Holvik recommends them for boys and girls around the age of 11 or 12. HPV can cause cervical, vaginal, penile, and throat cancer.
Holvik Family Health Center provides the necessary examinations children and teens need as they grow up and advance through their school years, including school physicals and sports participation physicals. Routine checkups should be scheduled as follows:
At each visit, the team at Holvik Family Health Center checks your child’s weight, performs a physical exam, provides immunizations as needed, and assesses growth and development. They also perform routine vision and hearing tests.
Beyond essential health care that ensures your child is healthy and growing as expected, well-child visits give you time to discuss concerns. Whether you’re worried about your infant’s eating habits, have a child who has gained weight, or your child has behavioral or emotional challenges, you can count on the team at Holvik Family Health Center to help.
